Lawrence E. â€śTrippâ€ť Hicks, III, age 37, of North Little Rock, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013.

The Hot Spring County Extension Homemakers Council will have their annual Brickfest Quilt Show in the Educational Room at the Hot Spring County Fairgrounds on Friday, June 28 from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Saturday, June 29 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Quilts of all kinds, shapes and sizes will be available for viewing.
If you have quilts of long ago, new quilts, baby quilts, lap throws, wall hangings, etc., this is your chance to show them off.
Bring your quilts to the Education Room on Thursday, June 27 from 1 until 4 p.m.
Quilts may be picked up Saturday, June 29 from 2 until 6 p.m.
Brickfest Baby Contest will be held Saturday, June 29 at City Park. The event is sponsored by Farmers Bank & Trust.
Early registration is $10 at any Farmers Bank and Trust location or Malvern Chamber of Commerce. Saturday registration is from 8 until 8:45 a.m. and will fee will be $15. Contest starts at 9 a.m.

The Honorable Chris E Williams, currently Circuit Judge of the Seventh Judicial District has finished a 12-year appointment for service as Chairperson on the Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission.
Judge Williams was appointed by the Supreme Court of Arkansas in July of 2001 for his first six-year appointment and reappointed for a second six-year term beginning July of 2007.
In July of 2012, Judge Williams was elected chairperson of the commission and the JDDC is grateful for his dedicated years of service to the judiciary of the State of Arkansas.
