Mayme K. Shnaekel, age 62 of Malvern, the wife of Bill Shnaekel, died Wednesday in the Hot Spring County Medical Center.
Steve Riffle II, 36, of Bismarck, passed away Saturday June 15, 2013, at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) â€” The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department says a routine bridge inspection will mean that a lane of Highway 67 at Donaldson will be closed this week.
The department says crews will inspect the Union Pacific Railroad overpass on Highway 67 on Wednesday â€” weather permitting. The work will mean the closing of the northbound lane of the highway in Hot Spring County from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
CADDO VALLEY, Ark. (AP) â€” Authorities in Hot Spring and Clark counties are searching for a 58-year-old woman who disappeared near DeGray Lake.
Deborah Cronn was last seen on Arkansas Highway 7 in Caddo Valley about 6:30 p.m. Saturday. The area is on the southern end of the lake near the Hot Spring and Clark county lines.
Hot Spring County authorities say the search was turned over to Clark County.
John Draper, 65, of the Draper Community, passed away on Monday June 17, 2013, at Mercy Health Center in Hot Springs.
William Jason Sprague, age 30, of Texarkana, Texas died June 15, 2013, in a local hospital.
TEXARKANA, Texas (AP) â€” A service will be held Wednesday for a Texas police officer who died after being hit by a truck during a disturbance at a park.
Texarkana police say a suspect was being held Sunday over the death of Officer William Sprague.
Sprague was hurt early Friday responding to a call about fights that broke out as about 100 people were at Grady T. Wallace Park. Police later arrested a man on a charge of aggravated assault of a public servant. The charge could be upgraded due to Saturday's death of Sprague.

The event will still begin Saturday, June 15, but instead of noon, it will start at 4 p.m. in Rockport whereÂ Smokinâ€™ in Style will serve BBQ at the Whitewater Park along the banks of the Ouachita River and then Tragikly White takes the stage.
