LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) â€” Authorities say an SUV driven by a man who was fatally shot by Little Rock police wasn't actually stolen, although officers thought it may have been stolen shortly before the driver was killed.
Little Rock Police said Monday that an SUV driven by 26-year-old Deon Williams appeared to match the description of a stolen vehicle.
However, Little Rock Police spokeswoman Sgt. Cassandra Davis said Tuesday that the vehicle wasn't actually stolen.
Authorities say Williams fled from police and produced a gun before an officer shot and killed him.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) â€” Pulaski County authorities have arrested a man for the strangling death of a woman whose body was found in a wooded area.
Officials say 36-year-old James Clyde Martin is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Robbin Gore.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that Martin confessed to striking Gore and fatally strangling her with a belt.
Officials say the body was dumped in woods near the Dixon Manor Mobile Home Park.
A fisherman found the body on Friday. Relatives told authorities that Gore hadn't been heard from since July 4.
JONES MILL â€” A disturbance was reported to the Hot Spring County Sheriffâ€™s Office Friday afternoon at the Remmel Dam Landing in the Jones Mill area.
Deputies on the scene said a fight between two men had heated to the point that one hit the other with a baseball bat.
The men apparently didnâ€™t know each other but got into a confrontation near the pier on Lake Catherine
Tonight, the Major League Baseball All-Star Game will be played and I am having a real hard time caring about it.
For one, why is the game played in the middle of the season? That doesnâ€™t give you an accurate representation of who the best players in the league are for the current season.
Also, why play the game at all?
