The Bismarck Lady Lions softball team had an up and down week this week.
On Monday, they went on the road and blasted Prescott 14-3, but they fell to Benton Harmony Grove 4-2 in a game that was shortened to five innings because of lightning concerns on Tuesday.
In the Prescott game, the Lady Lions wasted little time asserting their dominance, taking a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Prescott would answer in the bottom half of the inning to cut the lead to 2-1.
From there it was all Bismarck.

The Magnet Cove Panthers baseball team picked up a couple of wins recently.
On Tuesday, March 26, the Panthers took a trip to Woodlawn and returned with a 1-0 win.
Junior pitcher Conner Wells picked up the win, striking out 16 batters in just six innings of work.
Freshman Josh Smeltzer’s offense helped the Panthers take the lead for good in the seventh inning.
