Bismarck struggles on the road against Prescott

The Bismarck Lions baseball team took to the road on Monday to face the Prescott Curley Wolves, coming out on the wrong end of an 8-7 decision.
Bismarck started strong, scoring three runs in the top of the first inning and another in the top of the second inning to take a 4-0 lead.
Prescott would fight back with a run of their own in the bottom of the third and again with a run in the bottom of the fourth to cut the lead to 4-2.

Leopards pick up home win

On Friday, the Malvern Leopards baseball team played host to conference foe Arkansas Baptist and came away with a 6-3 victory.
Arkansas Baptist struck first, scoring a run in the top of the second inning to take a 1-0 lead.
The Leopards would get on the board for the first time in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run of their own to tie the game.
Arkansas Baptist would cut into the lead slightly with a run of their own in the top of the fifth, but from there it was all Malvern.

I had no dog in the fight leading into last night’s basketball national championship game between the Louisville Cardinals and the Michigan Wolverines.
All I was wanting was a good, close game, and boy, did I ever get just that.
