• Hot Spring County Quorum Court will meet on Tuesday, Dec. 23 at 6 p.m. In the big courtroom at the HSC courthouse.

• On Christmas, the First United Methodist Church will have its Community Christmas lunch from 12-2 p.m.

Employees at the Malvern post office help patrons decide the best shipping method for their packages. The post office will be open on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, but lobby hours both days will be 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Regular mail delivery won't be affected.

December 18th

Amber Alert inactivated

December 18, 2014

The sign at Malvern's Walgreen's displayed an amber alert at about 2:45 this afternoon, Thursday, Dec. 18. It was inactivated shortly before 3 p.m. According to Officer Foster with the Rogers Police Department, a citizen in Oklahoma spotted the car and called the sheriff's office. The child has been recovered and the driver of the black BMW is under arrest.
