The 2014 Pet Calendars are available at the Malvern Daily Record office for $10 per calendar.
They are available for purchase during regular office hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The MDR office will close at 3 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 24 and will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 25.
The upcoming holidays will bring discarded ribbons, wrapping, and leftovers. To accommodate, the cityâ€™s garbage pick up will continue to run after both Christmas and New Yearâ€™s Day, but with a one-day delay.

HSC Extension Agent Jesse Clark reports that there are still 115 â€śAngelsâ€ť on The Salvation Army Angel Trees that need to be adopted. The last day to purchase and turn in Angel Tree gifts is Saturday, Dec. 21 at noon.

Nearly a year ago, the Hot Spring County Medical Center approached the Quorum Court asking them to continue the current 1/2 cent sales tax, which will sunset on Dec. 31.
After the bill was passed, the hospital asked for the bill be set for a longer time period. They also went before the Quorum Court asking for its approval of the hospital entering into a partnership with Baptist Health.
Hot Spring County Medical Center cited several reasons for the partnership. The main being upcoming medical cost cuts.
The tax continuation for 20 years was approved by voters in August.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. â€” Baptist Health announced that it will begin a long-term lease agreement with Hot Spring County Medical Center in Malvern, on Jan. 1. At that time the hospital will be named Baptist Health Medical Center-Hot Spring County and will become Baptist Healthâ€™s eighth hospital.
CADDO VALLEY â€” A seven-hour manhunt for a suspect who highjacked a car in Little Rock ended Wednesday without success. However, the investigation as to who was responsible for the carjacking continued Thursday morning.
The suspect, identified as a black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants, was "nowhere to be found," Cpl. Sam Hart of the Arkansas State Police said Thursday morning. Authorities still do not know the suspect's identity.
