Sheriff Ed Hollingsworth won 50.98 percent of the vote in his re-election bid for the Democratic nomination for Hot Spring County Sheriff. Malvern Mayor candidate Brenda Weldon garnered 50.58 percent of the vote in the Democratic primary, but with 33 absentee ballots left to verify and some paper ballots cast at the polls on Tuesday, percentages may change.
