On Tuesday, March 11, residents of the City of Rockport will go to the polls to vote for or against the issuance of bonds by the City of Rockport in the principal amount not to exceed $3 million for the purpose of financing betterments and improvements to the wastewater treatment and collection system of the city.
The Hot Spring County 2014 primary candidates have been filed.
The primary election will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Those winning in the primary will run in the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014. Early voting will begin on Monday, May 5.
Phil Clem was honored â€“ and the subject of some good-natured kidding â€“ at the Hot Spring County Medical Foundationâ€™s annual toast and roast. Hospital administrator Sheila Williams said the event was just a little short of a total sell-out. The event raised more than $6,200 through its silent and live auctions, she said. Williams did not have the total earned through the eventâ€™s ticket sales at press time.
