The Magnet Cove Junior Lady Panthers basketball team will end its season playing for the district championship today.
On Thursday, the Junior Lady Panthers defeated Mount Ida by the score of 41-28.

The Boys and Girls Club of Malvern and Hot Spring County is holding registration for its upcoming girls’ softball season from now until Friday, March 8.
Softball is for girls playing ages 5 and 6 (6U league) and 7 and 8 (8U league). Playing age is the age of the child on Dec. 31, 2012.
Potential coaches must apply (pass background check) and attend the organizational meeting in late March.
All teams are formed and players assigned to teams by the Boys and Girls Club.
The Boys and Girls Club of Malvern and Hot Spring County is holding registration for its upcoming T-ball and soccer seasons from now until Friday, March 8.
Dues and fees are to be paid at registration, and a copy of the birth certificate should be presented for verification.
T-ball is for boys and girls playing ages 4-6. Playing age is the age of the child on April 30, 2013.

The Boys and Girls Club of Malvern and Hot Spring County basketball season reached its regular season conclusion on Saturday, setting the stage for tomorrow’s tournament.
In true late-season basketball tradition, there were some upsets to be found on the last day of the season.
In the first and second grade division, the day started off with Super Bubbles facing off against Donut Hole.
Donut Hole took an early lead and never looked back, cruising to a 30-14 victory.
After the events of this week, I think it can safely be said that there is parity in college basketball.
Ok, so Arkansas’ win over No. 2 Florida was a big deal, but it wasn’t that terribly shocking. After all, the Hogs do tend to do quite well in Bud Walton Arena.
No, this revelation came to me last night while watching one of the weirder games I’ve seen in a while.
