LITTLE ROCK â€” In honor of Baptist Healthâ€™s former CEO and President Russ Harringtonâ€™s retirement after 40 years of service to Baptist Health, the Board of Directors renamed the Little Rock hospital campus the Russell D. Harrington, Jr. Campus.
New signage located at the front entrance of the campus as you enter and exit the interstate was unveiled recently. More than 325 employees, friends, and family made a monetary donation to Baptist Health Foundation and a keepsake book with their names was presented to Harrington at System Update on the same day as the unveiling.

Little Rock â€” Ouida Newton, a math teacher with the Poyen Public Schools, has been named as the 2014 Arkansas Rural Teacher of the Year by the by the Arkansas Rural Education Association and the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas, who sponsor the annual award.
A resident of Leola, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Henderson State University and a Master of library and informational science degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She has taught at the Poyen Public Schools since 1979.
Carol Hand, 53, of Scott passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014.
Number 23, Tyson Cooper, bats for the Malvern Little League All-Stars Friday night against White Hall. Malvern lost 10-0, but bounced back Sunday afternoon with a 23-7 win over Corning. The team plays today at 6 p.m. at the Arkadelphia Youth Sports Complex as they take on Corning.
Nikki Lindvall Brashears, age 66, of Gourdneck Valley passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 at her home with her family by her side.
