CADC to distribute USDA commodities

Central Arkansas Development Council will distribute USDA Commodities Thursday, May 22 and Friday, May 23 in Hot Spring County.
Hot Spring County’s distribution will take place from 8 to 11 a.m. and noon to 3 p.m. at the Malvern Community Center (CADC Malvern Senior Activity Center) at 1800 W. Moline St. For more information, call (501) 332-5374.

Local museum gets grant for building repairs

West said the money will be used to make some much-needed repairs to The Boyle House. The museum is also still accepting recipes for its historical cookbook until May 14. HSC sticks by Amendment 83

The Hot Spring County Clerk’s will not be granting same-sex marriage licenses. The class action suit does not apply to Hot Spring County, stated County Attorney Randy Ohm. HSC is still under Amendment 83, which is Arkansas’s constitutional amendment banning same-sex unions. HSC will wait on the Supreme Court’s decision.
