Mr. Virgil C. Fite, age 99 of Malvern, died Thursday morning, December 19, 2013 at the Arbor Oaks Healthcare and Rehab.
On Monday night, Bismarck High School hosted Glen Rose high school in three games, with the home teams winning each game.
The first game of the night was between the junior boys teams with the Junior Lions holding on for a 38-36 win.
Bismarck jumped out to an early 14-2 lead, which they grew to a 24-8 lead at the half.
The Junior Beavers fought back by outscoring Bismarck 15-5 in the third quarter, but their rally fell just short in the fourth.
Jayden Howell led the Junior Lions with 13 points.

The Glen Rose Beaversâ€™ game against the Smackover Buckaroos in the semfinal round of the Class 3A playoffs was played in what many would call ideal football weather.

Over the summer, the Malvern Little League sent a team to the regionals of the Little League World Series in Waco, Texas.
The Malvern All-Stars had a good showing in the event, finishing second, and were even featured on ESPN2.
