Bradley Gabriel Dixon, infant son of Robert and Shay Ford Dixon of Malvern, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014 in Hot Springs.
For the first time ever, a professional bull riding event will be part of Brickfest activities. The event, called the Malvern Tire Co. Brickfest Bull Bash, is presented by Mahindra Tractors of Malvern on Saturday, June 28 at 7 p.m. at the Malvern Rodeo Arena. Gates open at 5 p.m.

United States Magistrate Judge Barry A. Bryant heard testimony from ProMed Ambulance, LifeNet and the City of Malvern at the federal court building in Hot Springs on Wednesday, June 11. Bryant made no decision on ProMedâ€™s motion for preliminary injunction or the City of Malvernâ€™s motion to dismiss. Bryant said he expected to set a hearing relatively quickly, addressing both the injunction and the dismissal requests together.
Malvern resident Diana Reggans was recently appointed by Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe to the vacant District 5 position on the Hot Spring County Quorum Court after a vacancy was declared when David Smith resigned. Reggans was approved by the court in a regular meeting Tuesday evening and took her seat as Justice of the Peace that evening. Reggansâ€™ appointment will end Dec. 31, 2014.
Phyllis Agnes Chase Howland, of Malvern formerly of Flippin, at the age of 80, went to be with her husband on June 10, 2014.
Autumn Navia Morgan, infant, passed away June 8, 2014 at Saline Memorial Hospital.
Donald E. â€śCraneâ€ť Stumon, age 67, of Lake Catherine, died Tuesday, June 10 in Hot Springs.
Rochelle Newton, 52, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord Monday, June 9, 2014.
