Each week the Malvern Daily Record asks a random group of people a question about a topic of timely concern. This week State judicial officials are questioning whether Washington-Madison County Drug Court, the popular local television program, should be aired. An opinion from the Arkansas Supreme Court Judicial Ethics Advisory Committee, issued Thursday, appears to eliminate any thought of taking any version of the show national and questions whether it should continue to be broadcast locally. Our question is: Do you think drug courts should be televised?

U.S. Congressman Mike Ross, D-Prescott, stopped in Malvern Thursday to listen to and visit with constituents as a part of his district-wide town hall tour. During the months of August and September, Ross is visiting each of the 29 counties that make up Arkansas’s Fourth Congressional District, which he represents in the U.S. House of Representatives.
