Boys and Girls Club softball set to begin

February 8, 2013

The Boys and Girls Club of Malvern and Hot Spring County is holding registration for its upcoming girls’ softball season from now until Friday, March 8.
Softball is for girls playing ages 5 and 6 (6U league) and 7 and 8 (8U league). Playing age is the age of the child on Dec. 31, 2012.
Potential coaches must apply (pass background check) and attend the organizational meeting in late March.
All teams are formed and players assigned to teams by the Boys and Girls Club.
Teams will be formed within each community as feasible, but all registrations and drafts must go through the Boys and Girls Club office.
Players who played last year may stay on the same team if they choose, but all other players will be assigned.
The fees for the event are a $10 Club membership (if not already a member) per school year in addition to a $40 softball fee (which includes a uniform).
All players must have a 2012-2013 membership in the Boys and Girls Club.
After Friday, March 8, there will be a $5 late fee attached with no guarantee of being able to play.
Soccer registration is also getting ready to begin.
More information is available by calling the Boys and Girls Club of Malvern and Hot Spring County at (501) 337-4462.
