In Case You Missed it

Staff Writer

If you didn't read the Malvern Daily Record this week, you missed:

* Malvern Mayor Brenda Weldon's "state of the city" address in Tuesday's paper. Her address outlined what she has observed since taking office on Jan. 1 and how she plans to move the city forward.
* The local hospital foundation will toast and roast Muriel Howard this year at its annual fundraiser.
* Our weekly Mystery Person was former MDR Editor Mark Bivens.
* The Malvern Leopards played their last game ever in the Bill Hunt Fieldhouse, a landmark in the city for about 60 years. A tribute in Thursday's MDR featured memories from the past. The new sports arena will be opened for the next school year, replacing the fieldhouse, which will still be part of the school district's sports complex.
* Who wants a bridge on Honeyboy Road? At least one Justice of the Peace does and he's working to get other JPs on the bandwagon.
* Where are they now - George "BJ" Deimel
