Cleo Castle, 88 of Hot Springs died Tuesday, March 5, 2013.
She was born in Waltreak, AR in Yell County on August 17, 1924 to Clarence and Vera Kitchens Damon.
Cleo is preceded in death by her parents; husbands Faulda Ault and Bill Castle; sons Eddie and Larry Ault; sister Clinell Barnett of Havana, AR, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Harold Ault of Rowlett, TX, Anita (Ault) and J D Ward of Hot Springs, JoeAnn (Ault) and Ramon Blanco of San Francisco, CA, J T Barnett of Havana, AR and Ethel Damon of Dardanelle, AR.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law Donna Ault and Robin Nix of Hot Springs, 3 brothers and 2 sister-in-law: Jim and Jewell Damon of Clarksville, AR; Coy and Paula Damon of Benton, AR; Roy Damon of Dardanelle, AR one sister-in-law DeLoris Ault of Rowlett, TX and her Uncle Gene (Oleta) Kitchens of Oklahoma City, OK.
Many loving nieces and nephews and long time friends, especially George and Jicie Weatherford and family, Jewel and Gillie Harmon and Bennie Depp of Hot Springs.
Special thanks to the nursing staff of Arbor Oaks Nursing Home in Malvern, AR, the staff at Lakewood Convalescence Home in Hot Springs, Penny Starkel and John Gunnell of Arkansas Hospice for the care they took of Cleo in the last few years.
Cleo worked for many years as a waitress, also at National Rejectors and owned her own flower shop, Cleoâ€™s Flowers on Airport Rd. Cleo loved her family and friends. She loved growing plants, gardening and making arrangements. And she love her little dogs, especially Buddy and PeeWee.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jody and Jamey Damon of Benton; Curtis, Edward, Billy Ward of Hot Springs, Patrick, Eddie, Johnny, Ray, and Todd Blanco of San Francisco, Alan and Joni Blanco Sharrah of Lake Forest Park, WA, Mac Ault of Dallas, J D and Andrea Clark of Dallas, George and Jicie Weatherford, Carole Duncan, Diana Foster and Arlene Oaks of Hot Springs.
Visitation will be on Friday March 8, 2013 5:00 to 7:00pm at Gross Funeral Home. Service will be 2:00pm Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Gross Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to Alzheimerâ€™s Association, Humane Society of Garland County, Arkansas Hospice, the Veterans Administration or charity of your choice.
