Farmers, hunters and more mentors

March 5, 2014

This weekend is going to be busy with several events. First, will be the 4-H Annual Auction on Friday night beginning at 7 p.m. Everything will be up for bid from T-shirts to quilts to fertilizer to vacation trips. Just about every business in the area will have been hit up for goodies and you will get to bid on them. Best of all, you know it’s going to a good cause. For a couple of months, the 4-H kids have been going around to local businesses and getting gift certificates to restaurants, hotels, clothing stores, feed stores and grocery stores. This being an election year, expect to see a pretty good turnout of folks running for office. They are always nice enough to leave with several treasures and let the spotlight shine on the kids. You will definitely be amused as the little Cloverbuds display each item up and down the aisle. If you win the bid, they will bring it straight to where you are sitting.
