Fred R. Ferguson

Fred R. Ferguson, 76, of Malvern passed from this life to his eternal home Friday January 18, 2013.

He was born January 4, 1937 in Los Angeles, California to the late Mary Jane Irvin Ferguson and Fred W. Ferguson. He was predeceased by two brothers.
Fred was a retired Army Staff Sergeant (21 years) serving in Korea, Vietnam and Germany and a retired Police Officer in the Diamondhead community. Fred had the greatest love for fishing and we were blessed to have a wonderful, loving, husband, father and grandpa.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Charlotte Ferguson; two daughters, Ann (Jeff) Bean and Tammy Ferguson all of Malvern; one son, Peter R. (Tina) Ferguson of Bismarck and four grandchildren, Lisa Lingo, Courtney Savage (Christopher), Blake Ditzig and Sheanne Briggs.
Pallbearers are Mark Hensiek, C.J. Savage, Brian Branum, Blake Ditzig, Peter Ferguson, Jeff Ames, Jerry Norwood, Randy Norwood and Jeff Bean.
Honorary pallbearers are Mark Bean, Glen Short, Richard Terry and Buddy Capps.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at the Arkansas State Veterans National Cemetery with Brother Darryle Sulton officiating and full Military Honors.
Arrangements are by Hot Springs Funeral Home.
