The Bismarck Lions almost started off the Herb Russell Tournament with a big upset over Fordyce on Friday before eventually falling by the score of 55-41.
The Lions trailed by just two (13-11) at the end of the first quarter and were still very much in the game at the half, trailing 20-17.
The two teams played to a 13-13 stalemate in the third quarter, but the Red Bugs outscored Bismarck 22-11 in the final quarter to pull away.
Hayden Ratcliffe led the Lions with 24 points. Parker Robertson added 10 points, Ryen Gillespie scored three points and Bismarck got two points each from Chance McMcMullin and Parker Hancock.
