In their first game, against Cutter Morning Star, the Beavers were on the wrong side of a 59-32 decision.
Glen Rose trailed 17-8 after one quarter, but held the Eagles to just three points in the second quarter to cut the deficit to just 20-17.
The lead grew to eight points at the end of the third quarter and the Beavers were held to just three points in the final quarter to set up the final margin.
