Hot Spring Count Sportlight: Elizabeth Kratz

December 13, 2013

The Poyen Lady Indians basketball team lost a lot of their scoring from last year’s state tournament team, but to watch them play this year you wouldn’t know it.
The team has been picking up wins at a regularity that fans in Poyen have gotten used to and a lot of the credit falls to senior point guard Elizabeth Kratz.
When the 2013-2014 season started, Kratz was looked upon to be the leader of the team and it was a role that she tackled head-on.
In her previous two years as a member of the Lady Indians basketball team, she was the one player that the rest of the team depended upon to get the ball up the floor and distribute the ball to the main scoring threats on the squad.
The Lady Indians still rely on her to bring the ball up the floor, but they also look to her to be the main scoring option.
