Hot Spring County Sportlight: Isaac Wright

November 21, 2013

When you imagine the typical defensive lineman, what comes to mind?
A mean, hard-hitting player that enjoys the punishment he inflicts upon his opponents?
Most of the time, yes.
What about a soft-spoken and polite student council president with a love of poetry?
Not usually, which is what makes Malvern senior nose guard (and occasional right guard) Isaac Wright something different.
Wright heads up the defensive front line of the Malvern Leopards, who are in one of their best three-year stretches in decades.
He was on the Leopards team that advanced to War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock to compete for the 2011 4A state championship.

For the full story, see Thursday's (November 21) Malvern Daily Record.
