Jerry Donald Dykes, 81 of Tulip died Friday January 18, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital in Hot Springs.

Born August 12, 1931 in Somerset, KY, he was a son of the late Ramoan and Jennie Cundiff Dykes. He was a retired welder and an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Dykes of Tulip; one son Jerry R. Dykes of Tulip; three daughters, Helen Lamb of Crossett, Patricia Kimbrough of Little Rock, Linda Lamb of Berryville; one brother, James E. Dykes of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; two sisters, Phyllis Long of Savannah, GA, Linda Mayne of Huntsville, AL; ten grandchildren, Benjamin Lamb, Robert Dana Lamb, Nathaniel Lamb, Allie Lamb, Tim J. Kimbrough, Cody R. Dykes, Ryan Dykes, Aaron Kimbrough, Dylan Lamb, Mariah Dykes. The family received friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Tulip Presbyterian Church with Rev. Phil Matthews officiating. Burial will follow at Tulip Cemetery. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
