Jones receives Farm Credit scholarship

June 20, 2014

Levi Jones, a 2014 Glen Rose High School graduate, was one of 20 western Arkansas students awarded a $1,000 academic scholarship from Farm Credit of Western Arkansas.
Jones is attending Arkansas Tech University this fall and plans to pursue an Agriculture Education degree. He is the son of John and Tara Jones of Malvern.
“We proudly award this well-deserved scholarship in recognition of Levi’s many academic accomplishments and student leadership,” explains Farm Credit CEO Glen Manchester.
“Our scholarships are supporting the future of western Arkansas agriculture, agribusinesses and rural communities. Many recipients have agricultural backgrounds. Some are pursuing agricultural degrees or careers that support agriculture in some way. Others plan to continue living in rural communities.”
