Kiwanis Trivia night? More like comedy night

October 29, 2013

Malvern Area Kiwanis Trivia night is an event I highly recommend. You get great food and a floor show. Besides that, the money from the meal and silent auction go to a great cause that focuses on kids.
Four-man teams from the community participated in the annual fundraising event. Susan Lafond, president of Kiwanis, said close to $1,000 was raised.
The kids participating stole the show with impromptu answers. Best line of the night was the response to the question, “What amendment repealed prohibition?” The MES Kids Team answered with, “We’re too young to know about alcohol!” They got 10 points for wit and creativity.
Rev. LaVon Post, on the Kiwanis team, knew his basketball stats. Under the category for NBA star players by years played, the question was barely finished as LaVon proclaimed with arms open wide “Kareem Abdul Jabbar!”
