Lady Indians bounce back after losses

April 4, 2013

The Poyen Lady Indians softball team had a rough go at it a week ago, falling to Magnet Cove and Fordyce by a combined score of 28-0.
This week, however, the Lady Indians have gotten back on track and picked up a few more wins.
On Monday, Poyen traveled to Cutter Morning Star where they faced the Lady Eagles.
The Lady Indians breezed through the game, winning by the final of 16-6.
Cassidy Nichols was on the mound for Poyen and wound up with 10 strikeouts in the game while walking four Cutter Morning Star batters.
Offensively, the Lady Indians had a good day and were led by catcher Hadi Bates, who was 4-5 from the plate with three RBI and four runs scored.
