Lady Leopards play Thursday

March 4, 2014

NORTH LITTLE ROCK — Due the inclement weather that has blanketed the state, the Arkansas Activities Association state basketball tournaments have been moved back a day for five classifications.

The Class 7A and 4A tournaments, that has only 12 teams in each were scheduled to begin on Wednesday. They will keep their same schedule.
“I talked with the tournament directors at each location to see what we needed to do,” said Arkansas Activities Association director Lance Taylor. “We feel moving them back a day is what is best.”
With the state date a day later, the semifinals have now been moved from Saturday until Sunday for the five tournaments that are affected.
All game times will remain the same for all first round games. The first quarterfinal game in each of the five tournaments will also be the same with the exception that they will be moved from Thursday night until Friday night.
All other quarterfinal games that will be held on Saturday will be moved up 2 hours. Saturday games begin at 11 a.m.
