Lenna Faye Knowles, 83, of Malvern passed away Sunday February 24, 2013.
Lenna Faye was born July 27, 1929 in Willow, AR to Leonard and Mable (Nantze) Bane.
Faye was a very caring and nurturing woman that deeply loved her daughter, grandchildren and her siblings. Her hobbies included collecting family photographs, gardening, canning, quilting, planting and caring for her flowers, and she prided herself in her cooking. Faye will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Faye is predeceased by her parents; her husband George Henry Knowles; one grandson William (Bo) Vance Teets Jr.; one great-grandson Dawson Ray Buffington; and two sister-in-laws: Hazel Bane and Joy L. Bane.
Faye is survived by one daughter Reba (Kelly) Eakley of Malvern, AR; three brothers: Thomas L. Bane of Lono, AR, James C. (Anita) Bane of Malvern, AR, and Billy W. (Sadie) Bane of Rolla, AR; two sisters: Bonnie J. (Charles) Fite of Malvern, AR, and Phyllis K. (Jan) Hill of Malvern, AR; two grandchildren: Amanda Faye (Daniel) Buffington of Hope, AR, and Stephanie Georgane Teets of Hope, AR; and two great-grandchildren: Autumn Taylor and Madison Rae Buffington.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Atkinson Chapel. Funeral services were held on Wednesday February 27, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Atkinson Chapel with Brother Eric Fisher officiating. Interment was at Black Springs Cemetery in Norman, AR.
Pallbearers were Robin Eakley, Michael Bane, Dewayne Bane, Jason P. Hill, Scott Wright, and Jacob Kitchens. Honorary pallbearer was Danny Bane.
