Mike Roop “Uncle Mikey”, age 47, of Malvern passed away Monday, February 18, 2013.
He was born June 26, 1965, in Grinnell, Iowa the son of Virgil Eugene and Darlene Maria Wiegele Roop. Mike was employed by Brecklings Nursery then Garretts Excavating for thirty years. He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Eugene “Gene” Roop.
Left to cherish his memory, mother, Darlene Roop; sisters, Regina Bowman of Malvern and Sheila Ashley (Todd) of Hot Springs; aunts, Eleanor Bonner of Bellingham, Washington and Bonnie Sult (Russell) of Maxwell, Iowa; nieces, Monica Roop of Splendora, Texas, Courtney, Adriene and Samantha Ashley of Hot Springs; nephews, Chevy Bowman of Malvern, Colby and Caleb Ashley of Hot Springs; cousins, Everett and Lori Bonner “Bone” of Seattle, Washington and John and Pam Ricken of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Melanie Richards and Rose Copeland; former brother-in-law, Dennis Bowman of Malvern; several great nieces and nephew’s and a few very cherished friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, February 24, at 2:00pm at the T-Docks at Remmel Dam in Jones Mills with Harry Stone officiating.
