Two helpers haul a kayak up from the river at the Ouachita River Challenge on Saturday, Oct. 7. The kayakers reached land at Orbi Rentals, Inc. and tagged their cyclist partners or took off on bike themselves for the second leg of the three part race.A racer begins to pedal at the beginning of the bicycle portion of the Ouachita River Challenge on Saturday, Oct. 7. The event was sponsored by Arkansas Get Everyone Outdoors (GEO.)Malvern’s volleyball seniors were recognized on Monday, Oct. 9 at the Leopard Center before their resounding victory over White Hall. Five players and their families stand with flowers and balloons in the center of the court along with the four year volleyball manager Jaclyn Johnson. Also recognized was junior Chaprie Sanders who is ineligible to play next year due to her age. The senior players being honored at the senior night game were Mya Jones, Princess Welch, Aubrey Nix and Eryka WilliamsMalvern’s eighth grade volleyball players watch as teammate Riley White bumps the ball back over her head and to the other side of the net on Tuesday, Oct. 10. It was the last home game for the Lady Leopards and the opponent was Arkadelphia.A green junior Lady Warrior attempts to stop a gold player from making a pass at the annual Green vs. Gold game on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at Ouachita High School’s All Care Court. The green team won the match 17-11. Before the junior teams, the seventh grade squads played.
