Ouachita River - Remmel Dam
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for the Ouachita River below Remmel Dam until 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21.
Locations in the warning area include Jones Mill, Rockport, Malvern, Oak Grove, Midway and Friendship.

According to a National Weather Service alert a flash flood waring for the Ouachita River below Remmel Dam will be in effect until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21. At 6:29 a.m. dam operators reported elevated releases at Remmel Dam on the Ouachita River.
This is a routine high water event and will most likely result in lowland flooding along the Ouachita River.
At 6:30 a.m. the flow rate at Remmel Dam was 33,000 cubic feet per second.
Livestock and property in danger of the flash flooding should be moved to safety. All flooded roadways should be avoided.
Water released at Remmel Dam should reach the Interstate 30 river bridge in 1 to 2 hours. Maximum impact can take 2 to 3 hours to occur.
Impacts to the Donaldson area will occur in 3 to 6 hours. Maximum impact will occur in 6 to 8 hours.
Impacts to the Friendship area will occur in 10 to 12 hours.
