Thomas selected as Magnet Cove superintendent

March 20, 2014

The Magnet Cove School Board has selected Danny Thomas to replace retiring Gail McClure as superintendent.

McClure is retiring after more than 30 years in education. She is leaving to enjoy time with a new grandchild, she said.
Thomas is presently in his sixth year as superintendent of Junction City School District. The decision to hire Thomas was made at an 8 p.m. school board meeting held Wednesday, March 19. One board member said the meeting was held late because candidates were interviewed up until about 20 minutes before meeting time.
