Tourney underway at new Leopard Center

Nashville’s Asia Munn and ESTEM’s Mariah Adams jump for the opening tip in the first game of the Class 4A State Tournament being held at Malvern High School’s Leopard Center on Wednesday, March 2. Some first round games were held on Wednesday, while others will take place Thursday before the start of the second round. A total of 24 teams (12 boys, 12 girls) are taking part in the tournament. The Malvern Leopards have a bye until the second round and their first game will be played at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 4. Games will continue on Saturday, March 5 with the semifinal round. The state championship will be held at the Hot Springs Convention Center next week. (Photo by Eric Moore)
