Police throughout central Arkansas are continuing to search for Brian M. Clay, 29, of Little Rock, the last suspect at large in the June 2 capital murder of 21-year-old Damien Rachard Jones of Malvern.
Clay reportedly was last seen in North Little Rock on June 5.
Three other suspects in the home invasion murder are in custody and being held in the Hot Spring County Jail and other area detention centers without bond.
According to Malvern Police Department Assistant Chief William Ross, Timothy Laplez Davis, 32, of Malvern and Little Rock, Shkendra Braxton, 21, of Magnolia, and Anthony Bell, Jr., 20, of Little Rock are in custody and facing capital murder charges.
Davis and Braxton were arrested without incident June 6 by MPD and Maumelle Police Department officers at a Maumelle apartment. Bell surrendered himself to Maumelle police on Monday.
Davis and Braxton are set to appear for arraignment on July 8. Seventh Judicial District Circuit Judge Chris Williams set that date at a bond hearing for the two at which he ordered them held without bond.
Bell, who is being held in a nearby county, has not yet appeared for a bond hearing and has not been assigned a date for arraignment, court records indicated as of Wednesday.
Bell’s bond hearing has been delayed by the absence of both Seventh District circuit judges, who reportedly are attending a statewide conference of judges held annually in the state.
Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Clay is asked to contact MPD by telephone at 501-332-3636 or anonymously 24 hours a day through the department’s tip line at 501-337-5477. Anyone with information may also contact MPD via e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
