In trying to keep up with the reading and information gathering trends of the public, I have worked hard to ensure that the library is continuously receiving a good selection of materials in a broad range of categories. In addition, I try to make sure that our collection reflects the latest New York Best Seller Lists.
We are constantly receiving shipments of new materials, requests, memorial items, as well as filling subject mater gaps in the collection. I try to include the majority of the fiction best sellers as well as many of the non-fiction best sellers in our orders. I make my best effort to update the status of our best seller listings on our website at least twice a month. Some of our most recent acquisitions include (but are not limited to): Song of Susanna, So Yesterday, Hannah’s Dream, Anathema, One in a Million, Up Till Now, Fearless Fourteen, Song of the Dodo, Impulse, In Odd We Trust, Death and Honor, Devil May Care, Bumperly Bumper Bee, Lost Ark of the Covenant, Saturn’s Children, Books: A Memoir, Where Memories Lie, Weaver, Master of Florence, Billionaire’s Vinegar, Collateral Damage, McGraw-Hill’s ACT 2008, Cracking the GED 2009, Digital Photography Book, Marriage Records of the City of Fredericksburg, and of Orange, Spotsylvania, and Safford Counties, Virginia 1722-1850, Virginians & West Virginians 1607-1870, The King’s Passengers to Maryland and Virginia, A Guide to Virginia Military Organizations in the American Revolution 1774-1787, Virginia Militia in the Revolutionary War, Buckingham Burials, Fauquier County Virginia Death Registers 1853-1896, Fauquier County Virginia Marriage Register 1883-1906, Marriage of Orange County Virginia 1757-1880. We welcome all requests for the library to acquire new items and those items that are ordered are automatically placed on hold for the requesting party, allowing them to be the first to have access to the item requested. Any items currently on order or owned by the library, but check out are available for hold requests. Our catalog can be searched from the library or any external location with internet access. This can be a useful tool to find out what is currently available from our library. http://catalog.hsc.lib.ar.us/polaris/default.aspx or http:// www.hsc.lib.ar.us.
