Funeral services for Edna Marie Means Osborne, age 67, of Hot Springs, Ark., who died Thursday, July 3, 2008, at University Arkansas Medical Science Hospital in Little Rock, Ark., will be held Thursday, July 10, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Greater St. Paul Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Howard, pastor officiating.
Burial will be in Crestview Cemetery with Brandon’s Mortuary of Hot Springs, Ark., in charge of arrangements.
Edna Marie Means was born to the parentage of the late Otis and Vassie Collins Means, Sr. in Princeton, Ark., on Jan. 20, 1941. She was a member of Greater St. Paul Baptist Church where she served on the usher board. Edna was food supervisor for National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs, Ark., for 36 years.
Edna was predeceased by her parents and one brother, Thurman Means.
Survivors are her husband, Elbert Osborne of Hot Springs, Ark.; one daughter, Vassie (Ronald) Akins, Sr. of Maumelle, Ark.; three brothers, Otis (Emma) Means, Jr. of Detroit, Mich., Allen Jennings (Robin) Means of Jacksonville, Ark., and Mack Means of Hot Springs, Ark.; one sister, Lorine Means Collins of Hot Springs, Ark.; her mother-in-law, Corine Osborne of Hot Springs, Ark.; brothers-in-law, Michael Osborne and Sylvester (Bertha) Osborne, both of Hot Springs, Ark.; sisters-in-law, Joann (James) McClure of Hot Springs, Ark., Odessa (Bobby) Miles of Little Rock, Ark., and Oma Faye Walker (Edward) of New Orleans, La., and three grandchildren, Ronald Akins, Jr., Ronea Akins and Rondale Akins, all of Maumelle, Ark.
Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, July 9, 2008, from 4:30 until 5:30 p.m. at Greater St. Paul Baptist Church.
The family will be at 212 Washington St., Hot Springs, AR.
