James Wilkinson

James “Jim” Wilkinson, age 71, of Arkadelphia, Ark., passed away Sunday, July 6, 2008. He was born March 30, 1937, in Memphis, Tenn., to Pat Columbus Wilkinson and Bertha Hutchison Wilkinson. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a former employee of Mississippi Industry for the Blind, where he worked as a broom stitcher.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Virginia Davis Wilkinson of Arkadelphia, Ark.; one son, James Columbus Wilkinson of Donaldson, Ark.; one daughter, Barbara L. Williamson and husband, Jonthan of Donaldson, Ark.; two grandchildren, Adam Lee Wilkinson and Amanda Marie Swain and one nephew, Pat Westmoreland of Mississippi.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Patsy Westmoreland.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Malvern with Reverend Carroll Graybell officiating.
