Bell pleads not guilty to attempted murder

Seventh Judicial District Circuit Judge Phillip Shirron presided over a full docket Wednesday during Division II Plea and Arraignments at the Hot Spring County Courthouse.
Anthony Bell appeared before Judge Shirron on a charge of attempted capital murder with attorney Louis Loyd of Malvern. Loyd informed the judge that he expected to be retained by Bell early in September. 
Public defender Phyllis Lemons was appointed to Bell for the purpose of entering a plea for Bell, and he pled not guilty. He is to appear before Judge Shirron on Sept. 24 at 1 p.m.
•Ronald Robinson appeared with his attorney Anthony Biddle of Texarkana, Ark., on two counts of attempted murder, two counts of battery in the first degree and the use of a firearm in a felony. Robinson entered a plea of not guilty to the charges, and he is to appear before Judge Shirron on Sept. 24 at 1 p.m.
•Kenneth Smith was appointed Lemons as his counsel, and he pled not guilty to charges of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a drug premises. He is to appear before before Judge Chris Williams on Aug. 26 at 1 p.m.
•Jacob Asbell and Annette Sapp appeared with their attorney Chris Simpson of Searcy, who has also been retained for Phillip Walls in the same case. Walls was not in court due to a hold by the U.S. Marshals.
A not guilty plea was entered for all three defendants on charges of possession of pseudoephedrine, and they are to appear before Judge Williams on Oct. 28 at 1 p.m.
Kenneth and Marlene Jacobs appeared with attorney Vanessa Adams of Little Rock, and they pled not guilty to charges of theft and forgery in the second degree. They are to appear before Judge Shirron on Oct. 22 at 1 p.m.
Mark Ward appeared with attorney Justin Hurst of Hot Springs, and he pled not guilty to charges of attempt to manufacture methamphetamine. He is to appear before Judge Shirron on Oct. 22 at 1 p.m.
Antonio Murry appeared with his attorney, Loyd, and he is to appear in court on Aug. 28 for trial at 9 a.m. on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
Wanda and Floyd Willingham, Jr. appeared with their attorney, Loyd, and they pled not guilty to charges of sale of alcohol without a license and the use of property for criminal purposes. They are appear before Judge Shirron on Aug. 27 at 1 p.m.
Diedra Crockett had Lemons appointed as her counsel, and she pled not guilty to charges of aggravated assault. She is to appear before Judge Shirron on Nov. 24 at 9 a.m.
Deltris Hughes, formerly Deltris Simpson, had attorney Gregory Crain appointed as her counsel, and she pled not guilty to charges of theft. She is to appear before Judge Shirron on Nov. 24 at 9 a.m.
Terrence Smith had Lemons appointed as his counsel, and he pled not guilty to charges of terroristic threatening. He is to appear before Judge Shirron on Nov. 24 at 9 a.m.
Ronald McDougal appeared with his attorney, Loyd, and he pled not guilty to charges of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. He is to appear before Judge Shirron on Nov. 24 at 9 a.m.
Zachary Williams appeared, and he is to appear before Judge Shirron on Oct. 1 with an attorney for arraignment.
Larry Bedford was appointed Crain as his counsel, and he pled not guilty to charges of attempt to commit rape, domestic battery and false imprisonment. He is to appear before Judge Williams on Oct. 28 at 1 p.m.
Jesus Quiles appeared with his attorney, Loyd, and he pled not guilty to charges of possession of methamphetamine. He is to appear before Judge Williams on Oct. 28 at 1 p.m.
Kevin Norwood was appointed Crain as his counsel, and he pled not guilty to charges of violation of his probation. He is to appear before Judge Williams on Sept. 23 at 1 p.m.
