Stetson and Lindsey Blaylock won last night’s Billy Duke Knight Memorial Bass Tournament with 10.5 pounds.
Jack Bradley won the “Big Bass” award with a 4.33-pounder. David and Charlie McMillian finished second in the tournament with just under 9.33 pounds. David also had the second place “Big Bass”, a 3.85-pounder Dennis Mitchell and Dee placed third with 8.42 pounds, and Doug Baker and Morris Wolfe were fourth with 8.27. Mitchell won the “Trash Fish” award with a 1.04-pound white bass. Knight Memorial Tournaments are held on Lake Catherine every Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. out of Jack’s Landing (Remmel Dam Park) in Jones Mill. Participants should arrive by 6 p.m. for entry. Entry fees are $30 per boat. A cash prize is awarded for every six boats that enter, and there are a first and second “Big Bass” award given each week. The final Thursday tournament will be on Sept. 11, and there will be a “Big Fish-off” on Saturday, Sept. 20. One must have competed in at least ten of the tournaments during the summer to be eligible for the fish-off. |
