Mrs. Georgie Sturgis, 90, of Malvern died Aug. 22 at HSC Medical Center in Malvern, Ark. She was born Oct. 7, 1917, to the late Willie and Mary Morgan in Bluff City, Ark.
She was a member of Calvary Church of God in Christ in Malvern, Ark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Sturgis; six brothers and five sisters. Survivors include nephews, Elder Larry (Mammie) Morgan, Lincoln C. (Eva Mae) Morgan, Ellery J. (Dolla) Morgan, Debert J. (Artette) Morgan, Benny (Mary Ann) Cardiene, Herman Morgan; nieces, Baby Ruth (Carl) Morgan Mims, Wonda J. Morgan Armstead, Linda Morgan Cardiene, Shirley Ann Prescott and Sherri Morgan and a host of other nephews, nieces, family and friends. Funeral services will be Aug. 30 at 1 p.m. at Calvary Church of God in Christ in Malvern, with Elder Robert Rudolph, Jr., officiating. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Perla Gate Cemetery in Malvern by Christian Way Funeral Home of Pine Bluff, Ark. |
