Victoria Morehead

Victoria Morehead, age 83, of Poyen passed away Sept. 27, 2008, at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center. She was born Oct. 31, 1924, in Fordyce to the late Joel C. and Fannie (Hillman) Rogers. 
Mrs. Morehead was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. She was an accomplished seamstress, enjoyed gardening and cooking and spending time with her family. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Morehead, and five brothers.
Survivors include her son, Wayne Morehead and wife, Nina of Hot Springs; daughter, Margaret Robbins and husband, Ray of Poyen; two sisters, Vera Wells and Vivian Nash, both of Fordyce; six grandchildren, Alicia, Vickie, Tonya, Tony, Lynn and Chad; and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Monday, Sept. 29, at 2 p.m. in the Lindsey Poyen Cemetery with Reverend David Walker officiating. There was no visitation.
