Options? What options?
Monday, 13 October 2008
One television commentator Friday said Americans could quickly learn if they’re as durable as Americans were during the great depression.

That’s something a lot of people would never care to learn.
Small towns are losing plants and factories that were often times almost the only source of employment in the area. It’s happening here in Arkansas and across the nation. Times are hard. Most of us Americans don’t know much about hard times. That will make things even more dismal.
General Motors stocks is at a 60-year low, according to one report. Gas, well, gas is falling in price because people having to decide between filling their fuel tanks or putting food on the table are opting for food — not that it’s even an option.
Options are something Americans could soon become something we have to deal with whether we like it or not. Tough options are something else that won’t be popular.
