On Oct. 22, Officer Ussery of the Malvern Police Department responded to a call of subject passing a forged check at Pizza-4-Less. After talking with the involved parties, the case was turned over to Detective Randy Neal, who interviewed the subjects at the residence where the pizza was delivered.
Subject Kevin Pilcher stated there was someone in a red car that pulled up and talked with Brian Frasier, and asked to borrow his phone, and ordered pizza. After talking with the second subject, Brian Frasier, it was determined that there was never a red car and the name given at Pizza-4-Less was Pilcher. Upon further investigation, subject Brian Frasier was arrested and charged with Forgery Second Degree, and subject Kevin Pilcher was arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension. Charges have been turned over to the Prosecutor’s Office. •On Oct. 31, officers responded to a Disturbance Involving a Firearm. Dispatch had advised officers that the subject at the residence on Sullenberger Street was intoxicated and armed, with possibly a shotgun. Officer Nunes advised that the suspect had been armed with what appeared to be a shotgun, when he and Sgt. Frazer Ford arrived. Suspect Donald Wright was taken into custody without incident. Officers and Detective Brian Johnson interviewed the victim. The victim stated she and suspect Wright had been out Trick-or-Treating earlier in the evening. The victim stated that she and Wright had gone to bed for the evening, after Wright had consumed approximately 10 beers, and three or four shots of whiskey. The victim stated that Wright started snoring, and that she could not sleep. She then woke Wright, and asked for her keys, so that she could return to her residence to get some sleep. After she asked for her keys, Wright began cursing and screaming at her. She stated she heard Wright say “You ain’t going nowhere”. At this point, she demanded her keys so that she could leave. She stated that Wright reacted to her demand by getting out of bed and retrieving his 12 gauge shotgun and again telling her that she was not going to leave. She then heard Wright say “I’m gonna %#$*@ shoot you” as he was attempting to load his shotgun. The victim stated that she tried to take the shotgun away from Wright. Wright shoved the her against the wall using his shotgun and again stated “I’m gonna %#$*@ shoot you”. The victim stated that after hearing this, she then immediately fled the house and called 911. Officers photographed the crime scene, and retrieved a shotgun and three shotgun shells from the residence and transported Wright to the Police Department for booking. •The Malvern Police Department reports other than the Disturbance on Sullenberger, that Halloween night was quiet and uneventful, with no reports of mischief or vandalism.
