Wednesday, Regina Davis, 36, of Malvern, appeared before Judge Phillip Shirron on the charge of Aggravated Assault. The Court appointed Attorney Gregory Crain to represent Davis. Crain waived the formal reading and entered an initial plea of Not Guilty for his client. The Court set a call back date of Aug. 25 in division 1 court before Judge Chris Williams.
Kevin Pilcher, 26, of Malvern, appeared before Shirron on the charge of Battery Second Degree. Pilcher asked the court for an extension so that he could hire an attorney. The Court granted the extension and set a call back date of Sept. 16 to hear the case. Kobie Henson, 19, of Malvern, appeared before Shirron on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver (Marijuana) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Henson advised the court that he was attempting to hire an attorney and asked the court for an extension. The Court granted the extension and entered a Not Guilty plea for Henson. The Court set a call back date of September 2 to hear the case. Robert Matthew McCauley, 24, of Malvern, appeared before Shirron on charges of Breaking or Entering and Theft of Property. McCauley advised the court that he was seeking to hire an attorney and asked the court for an extension. The Court granted the extension and set a call back date of October 28 to hear the case. Darrell Wallace, 67, of Malvern appeared before Shirron on the charge of Sexual Assault in the Second Degree. Wallace’s attorney, Lewis Loyd, waived the formal reading and entered an initial plea of Not Guilty for his client. The court set a call back date of September 23 to hear the case. Artemes Bass, 39, of Malvern appeared before Shirron on the charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver. Bass asked the court for an extension so that he could hire an attorney. The Court granted the extension and set a call back date of September 23 to hear the case. Thomas Warwick, 19 of Malvern did not appear before Shirron on the charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver. The Court was advised that Warwick was currently incarcerated in the Hot Spring County Jail awaiting bed space in the Arkansas Department of Corrections. The Court appointed Attorney Gregory Crain to represent Warwick in the case. Crain waived the formal reading and entered an initial plea of Not Guilty for his client. The court set a call back date of August 25 in division 1 court before Judge Chris Williams. Kenneth Allen, 46, of Benton appeared before Shirron on the charge of Theft by Receiving. Allen’s attorney asked the court for an extension in the case. The State advised the Court that it would make a plea offer in the case. Allen’s attorney advised the Court that an extension would allow he and his client time to review the plea offer. The court set a call back date of September 23 to hear the case. Phillip Rice, 27, of Malvern appeared before Shirron on charges of Manufacturing Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Theft of Property and Probation Revocation from charges stemming from a 2005 case. The Court appointed Attorney Gregory Crain to represent Rice. Crain waived the formal reading and entered an initial plea of Not Guilty for his client. Rice asked the Court for a bail reduction. The Court reviewed Rice’s bail which was set at $10,000 cash or professional for the Manufacturing Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Theft of Property case, and $5,000 for the Probation Revocation case. The Court lowered Rice’s bond to $5,000 for both cases. The court set a call back date of August 25 in division 1 court before Judge Chris Williams.
