Malvern celebrates Independence Day |

Though there may be a lot of places to see fireworks shows July 4, none could be more convenient than watching right here in Malvern.
Southern State Bank is putting on a free fireworks show at the Ouachita River Trail.
The shoot site will be near the City of Malvern Water Plant just north of I-30.
Spectacular viewing should be available in the Ouachita River Trail Park area and along Rivercreek Drive south of I-30.
The Malvern Police Department will be controlling the traffic flow. The traffic plan is as follows: Rivercreek Drive will become one way west at the Holiday Inn to the intersection of Riverview Drive. Once the River Park Trail is filled, a circular one-way traffic flow will be maintained back to Tanner Street and the cut thru street to Walmart.
Officers will be directing traffic to designated parking areas.
After the fireworks show, the gates through the Riverview subdivision will be opened to allow traffic from the River Park Trail area to exit north to Highway 270.
