Each week the Malvern Daily Record asks a random group of people a question of timely importance.
This week’s question is: Do you think the Apple Blossom Race at Oaklawn will benefit Malvern and the surrounding areas?
Coach Clayton Ray — I believe it will. It’s the largest event at Oaklawn ever and it’s bringing national attention to the area.
Sharon Burris —
If it draws people in to stay at local hotels and eat at the restaurants.
Jenna Jordan —
With the economy in the shape it is, anything that brings in tourism to the area will be a benefit to the hotels and restaurants in the Malvern area.
Phillip Runyan —
May get a little boost, probably not very much.
