Bismarck Junior Lions have great showing at DeQueen track meet |

By LaJuan Mooney — Sports Editor The Bismarck Junior Boys track team competed in the DeQueen track meet on Tuesday and came away with a fourth place overall finish.
“We had some great performances from our relay teams,” says Coach Beavers. The 3200-meter Relay team finished in third place with a combined time of 10.10. The team is comprised of Victor Morales, Hayden Thornton, Max Green and Jansen Hardage. The 4x400 Relay team of Thornton, Tyler Smoke, Austin Rowland and Cameron Davis turned in a time of 4.09 for another third place finish. Individually, the team had an eighth place finish in the 800-meter run with Morales’ 2:36 time. The Lions also earned three sixth place awards. Rowland ran a 63 flat in the 400 meter run. Davis turned in a time of 26.2 in the 200 meter dash. Colton Davis placed 6th in the long jump with a distance of 17 feet and 10 and one half inches. Thornton gave the team their best finish with a 5.14 time in the 1600-meter run which was good enough for second place.  Hayden Thornton competing in the 1600-meter run.
