Harvey still on the loose
Friday, 12 October 2007

By Meag Hunt

The Hot Spring County Sheriff’s Department is still searching for Gerry Don Harvey of Bonnerdale after his disappearance from the Hot Spring County District Court House.

Harvey was recently convicted of criminal intent to manufacture methamphetmines in Judge Chris Williams court during a jury trial.

Between the verdict and the sentencing, Harvey’s attorney, Phyllis Lemons, asked Williams on Harvey’s behalf to allow Harvey a cigarette break.

Upon the jury returning to the court room to ask the judge a question about the verdict, Harvey was not located. Upon the jury returning to hand down a sentence, Harvey was still unable to be found though the Hot Spring County Sheriff’s Department was searching the area.

The verdict was handed to Williams but he announced that until Harvey was in the court room in person, he would not be able to sentence him.

Reports for the Hot Spring County Sheriff’s Department announced that when arriving on the property in Bonnerdale in where it is alleged that he lives in a bus, the bus had been moved and couldn’t be located.

There have been several sightings of Harvey in Hot Spring County, but the Sheriff’s Department is still searching for him.

They are requesting that anyone with information leading to his capture please inform the department promptly.

Harvey is a 43-year-old white male, six feet tall, weighs approximately 260 pounds with brown eyes and gray or partially gray hair.

The department urges those with leads to step forward.
